Webelos Cross-Over Scouts and Parents    Aviation Merit Badge

            A class for the Aviation Merit Badge will be held Saturday, September 29 from 9am to 5pm.

To sign up for the Aviation Merit Badge, go to the Clinton Valley Council Website.  It is http://www.cvc-bsa.org/

            From the Clinton Valley Council home page, click on the Calendars link on the left hand side of the screen.

On the CVC Calendars page, click on the Council link

            From the Council calendar page, scroll down to September 29 and click on PMAC Flight School.

There is a $10.00 registration fee.  You can apply online by clicking on the Register button.

There are several prerequisites

1.    Boy Scouts will need a Merit Badge blue card signed by our Scoutmaster Bob Finta.

2.    Boy Scouts must complete requirements 1 and 5 must be completed before you start class on Saturday, September 29.  The worksheet for the Aviation Merit   Badge is in the Flier, Prerequisites, application, and rules link.

3.    Boy Scouts must complete the Introductory Student Pilot Application and read the AMA Safety Rules Prior to the event.

4.    I have one more helpful hint for you.   Answers to your questions for requirement 1 can be found on the link: http://troop509.org/aviationmb.htm#define_aircraft.   If I find out something for requirement 5, I'll let you know.    If you find out any info for requirement 5 let me know.

Remember - It's never to early to earn merit badges!  Time passes quickly!
